About The Position

Provide memorable guest experience to club members and hotel guests providing exceptional pool side service. Assist with organization and execution of all pool set-up, upkeep, tear-down, assisting with members, cleanliness of the pool, pool deck, locker rooms, and Teen Room [Recreation Center], ensuring our pool patron's safety and wellbeing at all times, and assistance of pool events. Offer complete knowledge of service standards and menu offerings while maintaining high level of customer service.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Possess basic math skills.
  • Basic knowledge of food presentation, preparation, and handling.
  • Customer Service skills.
  • Ability to communicate and record information in writing.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Food and beverage experience
  • Must have or be able to obtain CPR & First Aid Certificates
  • Basic food handler certification and alcohol service certification (may be provided by organization upon acceptance of position).
  • Valid Driver's License
  • CPR Certification

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of all pool patrons, whether in or out of the pool, of all ages.
  • Maintain work schedule as assigned and communicates any necessary scheduling requirements to management in advance of schedule release.
  • Greet guest in warm and friendly manner as soon as they enter, offer assistance with menus.
  • Assist with maintaining the Recreation Center, Three Graces Pools and Infinity Pool, locker rooms, and Teen Room [Recreation Center] in a clean, neat, and orderly fashion, including opening/closing, answering the phone, and checking members/guests both in and out, according to established procedures.
  • Keep both Recreation Center and Three Graces Pools and storage areas neat and in safe working order.
  • Set up pools with pool chair covers and rolled towels. Replace pool chair covers and towels once each member and guest officially leaves.
  • Escort members and guests to available seating.
  • Move umbrellas, chairs, and tables for member and guest convenience.
  • Clean the Recreation Center, Three Graces, and Infinity Pool daily, duties include but are not limited to vacuuming the pool, sweeping the pool deck, throwing away trash.
  • Promote and sell merchandise available at the pools check-in counter and upsell premium offerings and add on's to enhance guest experience.
  • Provide detailed and thorough knowledge of culinary and beverage items, providing thoughtful and complete product suggestions.
  • Consistently embody a "play well with others" demeanor; always maintain a positive "can-do" attitude and constantly demonstrate a pro-active, team-centered approach.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining a "Standard of Excellence" for the Resort and Club's Recreation Center and Three Graces Pools and Teen Room programs/facilities.
  • Complete required and suggested training to achieve maximum knowledge.
  • Maintain service in assigned section/on pool deck as determined by supervisor.
  • Ensure that all orders are recorded and entered in point-of-sale system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Secure and process payment quickly and accurately capturing all guests and member signatures on checks.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage orders are delivered correctly and promptly.
  • Provide all needed condiments, dining utensils, garnishes and any other requests from member or guest.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages.
  • Prepare all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following preparation methods and recipe cards to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Clear tables during service using proper sanitation methods.
  • Keep work area clean and organized throughout shift.
  • Complete cleaning and stocking duties thoroughly and as assigned.
  • Be prepared to speak to the offerings of the entire Resort and Spa including services offered and hours of operation.
  • Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
  • Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.
  • Welcome all guests to facility with your hand over heart and check all guests in.
  • Assist guests to seats, help guests with umbrellas and always anticipate the guests needs.
  • Help with events held at the pools.
  • Complete additional training as needed.
  • Perform deep cleaning and organizing as assigned.
  • Assist with the functions of other positions within the Recreational Center Snack Bar and across the resort as needed.
  • Maintain proper functioning and cleaning of equipment used in kitchen and Snack Bar.
  • Alert management of needed product. Rotate dated product as needed. Remove expired product when needed.
  • Prep all condiments, salad dressings, portioned proteins, and snack packs. Label all items correctly with proper date.
  • Have full knowledge of any drink or food specials or any current promotions.
  • Wash all dirty trays, baskets or used kitchen utensils.
  • Keep the Pool Supervisor informed about any serious issues.
  • Create and maintain cash reports at the end of each day.
  • Understand functions of departments across resort property.
  • Articulate location of departments and services when required.
  • Greet every guest, member, and team member with "I Am Proud" standards and set a positive tone for every interaction.
