About The Position

As a Pool Operator, you will be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of resort pools, spas, and pool support systems. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety while helping provide an exceptional guest experience. Requirements

  • Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO) certification required.
  • Knowledge of pool equipment, water chemistry, filtration systems, and preventative maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license required to operate company vehicles.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity.
  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must uphold Westgate Resorts' standards of professionalism, integrity, safety, and guest service.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) to two (2) years of pool operations or aquatic maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain proper pool and spa water chemistry in accordance with state regulations and company standards.
  • Test water quality using approved testing methods and adjust chemical levels as needed.
  • Clean pools, spas, filters, decks, pump rooms, pool furniture, tile, and surrounding areas.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on pumps, motors, heaters, plumbing, chemical feed systems, underwater lighting, ladders, and other pool equipment.
  • Maintain and repair pool restroom fixtures and support areas.
  • Deep clean pool decks and equipment areas as scheduled.
  • Deliver chemicals, equipment, and supplies to assigned pool locations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and identify potential hazards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
