The City of Kingman is seeking a Pool Operator to manage the daily upkeep, water chemistry, and mechanical systems for the City’s pools, splash pads, and grounds. This versatile role involves pool chemical testing, equipment repairs, general facility upkeep, and routine groundskeeping. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, enjoys active, hands-on work, and takes pride in maintaining public spaces. This position may require working nights, weekends, holidays, responding to emergencies, flexing work schedules, and working overtime. While the role is generally year-round, the peak season for aquatics is May through September, requiring availability during this time for call-backs and schedule adjustments to ensure proper operation of aquatic programs and facilities. As a Pool Operator, you will perform semi-skilled and technical maintenance and repair work on aquatic facilities, including pools, splash pads, and related mechanical equipment (electrical, filtration, plumbing). You will also be responsible for maintaining chemical balances through testing and control systems. This role reports to the Parks Superintendent and/or the Assistant Superintendent.
