About The Position

The Pool Engineer performs a variety of maintenance trade functions at OKANA Resort and Indoor Water Park, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and hotel systems. Work includes HVAC, painting, wall repair, tile work, and supporting the resort’s preventative maintenance program. The role works closely with other team members and calls for an engaging attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position offers an opportunity to grow and learn at a resort property.

Requirements

• Experience working in a maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Knowledge of household repairs, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing work.
• Engaging and welcoming personality.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for creating an exceptional experience for guests.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, and push or pull throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Repair woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, carpeting, and similar items.
• Perform mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other equipment.
• Keep records and logs of completed tasks as required by company policy and procedures.
• Prepare and submit requested reports and logs to supervisors in a timely manner.
• Perform installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment and contribute to upkeep of the resort or hotel preventative maintenance program.
