About The Position

The Pool Bartender is responsible for providing the highest quality service to guests and servers and maintaining the hotel standards of cleanliness and sanitation while following the requirements at the Pool. This role requires adherence to the company's service culture, participation in hotel meetings and trainings, and maintaining a high standard of personal appearance. The bartender will set up the bar, prepare and serve beverages according to standards, and ensure guest satisfaction. Responsibilities also include breaking down the bar, following state liquor laws, knowing resort services, handling intoxicated guests, being aware of safety procedures, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

Experience working as a bartender is a must.
In compliance with California laws, Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification are required.
Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

Set up the bar according to resort/pool standards and ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the resort’s mixing and presentation standards.
Serve guests with all beverage requirements in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
Break down bar after the completion of functions, storing liquor, supplies and equipment according to the resort’s standards.
Follow all state liquor laws.
Know resort services and facilities.
Follow prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests.
Be familiar with all fire exit locations and fire extinguisher locations and know how to operate.
Ensure that the bar and service areas are kept clean and tidy during service.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
