Under supervision of a polysomnographic technologist, this role performs quality diagnostic polysomnographic (PSG), as well as titration, multiple sleep latency (MSLT), and Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT). The position records and provides relevant and accurate data to physicians for diagnostic use in the treatment of patients with sleep/wake disorders. The trainee will be responsible for performing either Sleep Study Procedures or Neurological Testing for all patient populations. This involves understanding testing equipment, applying principles of anatomy and physiology, monitoring and documenting appropriately in the medical record, and working with all age groups. Other department-specific duties may be required.
