About The Position

This role is for a Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech within the Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics department. The position involves weekend work every other weekend, with no on-call requirements. Floating within the facility/scope of practice may be necessary as needed. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience, and the unit accepts first-time travelers. A clinical screen will be conducted to determine fit, and if the candidate passes clinically and meets Piedmont guidelines, they will be sent to the manager for a final decision. Clinical screens are handled on a case-by-case basis. The maximum requested time off (RTO) is 7 days. Travelers are expected to work holidays as specified: if one major holiday falls within the assignment period, they work it; if two fall within, they work both; if three fall within, they work two. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Full compliance is required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a two-week delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. The number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by the contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment, 10 hours for a 10-week assignment).
