Apple’s Political Compliance team is looking for an organized and quick-thinking individual with good judgment. Political Compliance is part of the Compliance and Business Conduct team, and helps ensure that Apple’s interactions with public employees and officials comply with ethics, anti-corruption, lobbying and campaign finance regulations around the world. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of political compliance regulations with strong program management skills to build scalable processes, track deadlines, manage inputs, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of three years of experience in a corporate or law firm setting.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
Experience building, managing and updating internal team process and reference documents.
Experience designing and driving programmatic improvements with a goal of growing team efficiency and building automation where appropriate.
Clear verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
Demonstrated program or project management experience, including planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination.
Ability to work independently and with a variety of business teams and build relationships to drive success.

Technical understanding/abilities preferred, as will assist in assessing internal and external tools and capabilities.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain compliance workflows, tracking systems, and internal controls for lobbying registration and reporting.
Track, review and approve events involving public employees and officials to determine what hospitality is permissible to provide and reportable using guidelines provided by legal counsel.
Research regulations and policies related to ethics, gifts and conflicts of interest.
Clearly communicate approvals and instructions to employees for events following our standard process, and make sure all supporting documentation is filed.
Draft and send follow-up communications for individuals who attend events and either need to reimburse for items received or need a detailed accounting for disclosure purposes. This will include pulling together expenses from different internal stakeholders, drafting letters with reimbursement instructions or expense breakdowns, and sending the communications to external third parties.
Manage a master compliance calendar, ensuring all filing deadlines are tracked and met while assisting with collecting, reviewing, and compiling information needed for all internal and external reporting.
Support vendor and outside counsel relationships necessary for meeting all deadlines.
Review emails that come in to the group inbox and respond or direct to attorneys as appropriate.
Manage internal tools and databases including owning project timelines for compliance initiatives and updates using project management tools to track milestones and deliverables.
Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance needs.
