Policy Services Specialist
About The Position
Homesteaders Life is seeking a Policy Service Specialist to communicate with policy owners, agents, and funeral home personnel on a variety of issues. This role involves issuing Texas New Business, processing policy changes, early pay-ups, and reinstatements. The position also includes cross-training and a focus on Texas funeral contract compliance. Homesteaders Life provides consumer-friendly insurance products for prearranged funerals through a network of independent funeral homes across the United States. As a mutual life insurance company, Homesteaders Life is dedicated to serving its policyholders and funeral home customers with integrity, promoting the value of funeral service.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in the insurance industry - Policy Administration, New Business/Underwriting or Claims.
- Ability to apply a comprehensive understanding of policy provisions and values as well as preneed funeral contracts to solve work related problems.
- Ability to apply a comprehensive understanding of Texas funeral contract compliance as regulated by the Texas Department of Banking.
- Ability to carry out oral and written instructions with strong aptitude for attention to details.
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time.
- The ability to effectively communicate complex issues to a variety of audiences.
Nice To Haves
- Emphasis on Texas compliance in any of these areas is a plus!
- A bilingual (Spanish) background a plus!
Responsibilities
