About The Position

The Public Policy Specialist will support policy coordination and governance within the CIO organization. The candidate will assist with policy research, executive staffing actions, briefing materials, governance documentation, organizational communications, and leadership support initiatives. This position is designed to provide advice on government policy processes, executive-level communications, governance and decision-support activities, enterprise technology policy environments, cross-functional organizational coordination, and CIO mission and modernization initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate directly with leadership and staff, supporting executive-facing products and policy-related activities in a professional government setting. Working with your team, you’ll help identify customer business needs, gather user requirements, and develop user stories. You’ll clearly understand the overall direction and nuanced user needs, and you’ll support your team as they fulfill these needs by creating deployable features. Together, you’ll help deliver high-business-value products to users, citizens, researchers, clients, customers, and people. Requirements

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Ability to work professionally in collaborative and executive-facing environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy

  • Experience with the government, technology policy, public administration, organizational leadership, national security, and information policy in a professional or academic environment
