About The Position

The Policy Research Intern will support the Bluegrass Institute’s core research and advocacy work across priority issue areas, including regulatory reform, housing deregulation, and healthcare market reform. The intern will conduct policy research, analyze legislation and economic studies, assist in drafting policy briefs and op-eds, and help translate complex findings into accessible content for public and legislative audiences. The role provides hands-on experience in state-level policy advocacy within a free-market think tank environment, along with general support for the organization. The position is part of the paid Koch Internship Program (KIP), an experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships. The program offers professional development, leadership training, and work experience at nonprofit organizations. Participants must attend all online and on-site KIP programming. Eligible candidates must be located in and authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the program.
