The Marijuana Policy Project Foundation is seeking a self-motivated research assistant who is comfortable working independently, with the possibility of occasional small-group work. The position focuses on identifying working groups in multiple states that support regulated and safe access to cannabis. Its primary functions are conducting research and writing research briefs for the Executive Director. The role requires basic research and policy knowledge and is project-based, centered on promoting regulated free markets to reduce teen access to cannabis and advancing overall public safety. This is a full-time remote role in the Koch Internship Program (KIP) for Spring 2027. KIP is a paid experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that provides professional development, leadership training, and work experience at nonprofit organizations. Participants must attend all online and on-site KIP programming. Eligible candidates must be located in and authorized to work in the United States throughout the program. Early-career professionals, including undergraduate, graduate, and law students and recent graduates, are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates interview with both the nonprofit partner organization and Stand Together Fellowships staff.
