The Empire Center for Public Policy is seeking a policy data analyst intern through the Koch Internship Program (KIP), a paid experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships. The internship provides professional development, leadership training, and work experience at a nonprofit addressing policy challenges. The Empire Center is a state-based think tank that promotes New York policy reforms grounded in free-market principles, personal responsibility, and effective, accountable government. Its research, briefings, commentary, and conferences aim to inform New York State policymakers, news media, and the public. Policy data analysts are paired with Empire Center researchers working on areas such as taxes, government transparency, education, energy, and healthcare. The analyst works alongside researchers to provide data analysis and visualizations for projects in these areas. Participants may work full-time, approximately 32 hours per week at the partner organization for a $7,500 stipend, or part-time, approximately 24 hours per week for a $5,500 stipend. Attendance at all online and on-site KIP programming is required for both schedules. Applicants must be geographically located in and authorized to work in the United States throughout the program. Early-career professionals, including undergraduate, graduate, and law students and recent graduates, are encouraged to apply.
