About The Position

The Town of Paradise Valley is seeking an experienced Police TRACE Unit Analyst to join their Police Department. In this role, you will assist in the coordination of multiple programs supporting the Town's mission to provide high-quality public services. This is a diverse role for an energetic professional who values self-driven assignments while encouraging collaboration amongst stakeholders. The position is within the TRACE Unit and requires experience in coordinating law enforcement programs such as training, recruiting and background investigations, law enforcement accreditation, and/or community engagement.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in criminal justice, business administration, social sciences, or related field from an accredited educational institution.
  • One year of professional-level experience in one of the following areas: training, background investigations, accreditation, wellness, recruitment, selection, or retention.
  • A combination of related post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license.
  • Possess certification or have ability to become certified to access National Crime Information Center terminal (NCIC) and Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS) systems and any other federally or state mandated requirements of this position upon hire and maintain throughout employment.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation which includes a polygraph examination; employment, driving, personal references, and criminal history checks; a psychological evaluation, and a controlled substance screening.
