Requirements
- AZ State certification as a Police Officer
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to pass a background investigation
- High school diploma or GED
- Arizona driver’s license (or the ability to get one)
- Successful completion of the National Police Officer Selection Test (POST) with an overall passing score of 70%
- Successful completion of physical agility testing
- Successful completion of a writing assignment
- Successful completion of an oral board interview
- Successful completion of a polygraph examination
- Successful completion of a background investigation
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test

Responsibilities
- Serve with heart, integrity, and courage.

- Remain calm under pressure.
- Participate in a pre-approved testing process including running, jumping, climbing stairs, low crawling, broad jumping, moving/dragging a weight (150 pounds), climbing a fence (chain-link/four feet), climbing through a window, and changing direction on the run.
- Complete a writing assignment.
- Participate in an oral board interview.
- Undergo a background investigation.
- Potentially take a polygraph examination.
- Take the National Police Officer Selection Test (POST) online, which consists of Arithmetic, Reading Comprehension, Grammar, and Incident Report Writing.
- Complete physical agility testing.
- Submit to a pre-employment drug test.
