About The Position

The Police Officer Recruit develops critical job-related knowledge and skills while enrolled in a law enforcement academy. The recruit applies academy training by assisting with the enforcement of local, state, and federal laws and ensuring compliance with department policies. The role includes patrol, responding to calls, providing public assistance, supporting investigations, preparing reports and court materials, and completing other assigned duties. The position also emphasizes excellent guest service toward members, guests, team members, and vendors in accordance with company Hospitality Standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Valid Tennessee driver's license.
• Ability to sit, walk, and stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds at a time, and more with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Work toward completion of state certification through the Police Academy and TN P.O.S.T.
• Patrol property by vehicle or on foot to provide security and enforce traffic laws.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency radio calls.
• Render first aid at accidents and write incident and accident reports, including reports concerning missing or stolen property and criminal activity.
• Assist with accident and crime investigations and prepare associated reports and documents.
• Transport monies to or from the Finance department.
• Provide public assistance, including lockout services, first aid, and vehicle jump-starts.
• Provide building security, including locking and unlocking doors.
• Operate emergency vehicles and miscellaneous equipment, including radar and breath alcohol analyzers.
• Assist with processing evidence and preparing court cases; provide legal testimony as required.
• Write and file daily activity reports with a superior officer.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Follow company Hospitality Standards and provide excellent guest service to members, guests, team members, and vendors.
