About The Position

This role involves prioritizing and triaging incoming requests with precision under high-pressure, time-sensitive conditions. The Police Dispatcher (911) will monitor and manage multiple communication channels simultaneously, including radio, phone, and digital platforms. They will apply APCO or NENA protocols to assess, record, and route incidents in accordance with documented procedures. The position requires providing clear, concise, and accurate written and verbal responses during fast-paced, simulated or real-world emergency scenarios. Additionally, the role involves delivering detailed feedback regarding incident handling, decision-making, and escalation processes for AI model evaluation and development. The dispatcher will also assist in scenario development by outlining typical and edge-case dispatch situations and recommended response protocols, and review and annotate transcripts or incident logs to ensure fidelity and clarity for training data sets.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in prioritization, multitasking, and rapid decision-making in high-stress environments.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and professionalism.
• Familiarity with dispatch protocols, CAD systems, and modern emergency communication technologies.
• Experience documenting and communicating procedures for training or quality assurance purposes.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative approach to project-based work in a remote setting.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of active experience as a police dispatcher, coordinator, or equivalent in emergency communications.
• APCO (Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials) and/or NENA (National Emergency Number Association) certification strongly preferred.
