About The Position
Answers emergency calls for service, operates emergency communications system; types and/or enters information and other data into related equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to think clearly and speak distinctly under pressure and urgency
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and recall information correctly
- Ability to properly handle several activities at one time
- Ability to accurately transmit and receive messages
- Ability to exercise good judgement in evaluation of job-related situations
- Ability to make sound decisions
- Ability to keep accurate records
- Ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public and associates
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Eighteen years of age
- Type a minimum of 40 wpm
- Knowledge of computers and office machines
