About The Position

As a Poker Shift Manager, you play a key role in fostering a smooth, professional, and welcoming environment for both guests and team members. You’ll lead daily Poker Room operations, support your team, resolve guest concerns, and ensure exceptional service while upholding compliance standards and overseeing tournament activities. Proficiency in Bravo Poker software is essential, including the ability to utilize Bravo to coordinate and manage poker tournaments.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all aspects of Bravo Poker Software and assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Poker Room by ensuring efficiency through consistent enforcement of company policies, adherence to standard operating procedures, and application of sound management practices.
  • Ensure efficient operations that maintain a professional, friendly, and courteous atmosphere that provide guests with exceptional gaming experiences, and foster a work environment that encourages teamwork, recognition, performance feedback, and employee satisfaction.
  • Ensure quality hiring, training, and succession planning aligned with the company’s diversity commitment, maintain compliance with policies and legal requirements, and uphold the company’s status quo third party representation philosophy.
  • Oversee assigned shifts to ensure operational compliance with Gaming Control Board regulations and Title 31 requirements, while maintaining the confidentiality of all company documents and records within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure the execution of games are within compliance of state and property regulations and policies and Inform Surveillance and Gaming Control Agency agents if tampering or cheating is suspected.
  • Monitor activity at Poker tables to include seating issues, game decisions, guest disputes, and suspicious activity and escalate to Poker Manager if necessary, notifying a supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
  • Facilitate Poker Cage transactions.
  • Review all Poker Room advertisements for accuracy, and assure they are prepared in a timely fashion.
  • Input player information into Patron Management software, verify guest play time and issue comps.
