About The Position

We are looking for an experienced and professional Dual Rate Poker Dealer / Poker Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Saracen Resort. This dual role combines the responsibilities of a skilled poker dealer with the leadership and operational oversight of a poker supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for primarily dealing poker games in both live and tournament formats while also being available to be assigned overseeing day-to-day operations in the poker room, ensuring a high standard of customer service, game integrity, and operational efficiency. You must be able to manage both dealing poker hands and supervising staff, managing tables, and resolving disputes as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep knowledge of poker rules, and an ability to create a positive, customer-focused atmosphere for players and staff alike.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a poker dealer, with at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a poker room or casino setting.
  • Advanced understanding of poker rules, gameplay, and casino operations.
  • Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to manage difficult situations with professionalism and tact.
  • Must be able to obtain necessary gaming licenses and certifications as required by local regulations.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, handle poker chips and cards, and work in a bustling casino environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with multiple poker variants and tournament structures is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Deal various poker games (e.g., Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Seven-Card Stud) to players at the table, ensuring the game runs smoothly and quickly while maintaining accuracy.
  • Conduct and manage poker tournaments, including enforcing blind levels, handling chip counts, and assisting with tournament scheduling as required.
  • Accurately handle chips, cash, player buy-ins, and payouts during live games and tournaments.
  • Maintain a fair, fun, and professional atmosphere, ensuring that all players adhere to casino rules and policies.
  • Provide exceptional service by answering player questions, assisting with any issues at the table, and helping to resolve minor conflicts.
  • Oversee poker games in progress to ensure smooth operations, supervise dealers, and resolve any operational issues that arise.
  • Lead and direct the poker room team, including dealers and support staff. Manage breaks, and ensure all staff are adhering to performance and customer service standards.
  • Enforce casino rules and regulations while ensuring the integrity of all poker games, promptly addressing any disputes or issues that may arise.
  • Interact with players to maintain a positive environment, address concerns, and ensure they enjoy their experience. Handle any customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Assist in managing the overall poker room's operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management (chips, cards, etc.), and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
