Poker Dealer
About The Position
The Poker Dealer is responsible for accurately, proficiently, and professionally dealing a specific table game, ensuring compliance with Prairie Meadows' objectives, policies, procedures, and gaming regulations. This role provides prompt, accurate, and courteous service to players, utilizing a high degree of technical skill while adhering to established policies and procedures. The dealer maintains a professional, friendly, and courteous demeanor to support a pleasant entertainment experience for all guests and processes all cash, maintaining proper handling and accounting for assigned property items.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
- Demonstrated proficiency in dealing one or more games, acquired through training or experience.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Requires finger dexterity to be able to shuffle and deal cards.
- Ability to identify cards and pay/collect bets.
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire eight hour shift.
- Work environment is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise and smoke; the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
- Must be able to distinguish various colors.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Must be able to work varied hours including weekends and holidays.
- Must attend poker school and pass an audition before a job offer will be extended.

- Provides prompt, accurate and courteous service to players, utilizing the highest degree of technical skill in dealing the game while adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Maintains a professional, friendly, and courteous demeanor while supporting a pleasant entertainment experience for all guests.
- Processes all cash and maintains proper handling and accounting for assigned property items.
