About The Position

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is offering a unique opportunity to attend their Poker Dealer School for free and launch an exciting career in Poker. This program aims to prepare individuals for available positions within the Poker department. The training is scheduled from Monday, June 1st, 2026, through June 26th, with classes held Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. Attendees will initially be hired as a Poker Brush (Guest Service Representative) and will be compensated for their training time. Upon successful completion of the school and a subsequent audition, participants will be offered an On Call Dual Rate Poker Brush/Poker Dealer position. This role allows for up to six months of apprenticeship, where individuals will work in both capacities.

Requirements

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
  • Meet and greet guests.
  • Answer telephone in Poker area and questions from potential players.
  • Maintain waiting lists for all Poker games using the Bravo system.
  • Open and maintain games.
  • Page players when seats are available and escort players to tables as needed.
  • Provide buy-ins to players as needed.
  • Perform credits and fills with Dealers.
  • Transport cash and chips to and from Poker Cage as needed.
  • Wash and reset decks as assigned.
  • Maintain constant contact with Floorperson to ensure proper servicing of guests.

Responsibilities

  • Performing the functions of a Poker Brush or Dealer on an assigned shift.
  • Dealing an assigned game in accordance with established policy and procedures.
  • Conducting the assigned game with respect to Seminole Gaming’s Compliance and Regulations and procedures.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and enjoyment.
  • Dealing cards to players and shuffling as appropriate according to established rules and regulations.
  • Announcing winning hands to players.
  • Ensuring correct "rake" is taken from the winning pot.
  • Verifying beginning and ending chip and money balances and confirming supporting documentation.
  • Receiving fills and distributing credits.
  • Ensuring wagers are placed before cards are dealt.
  • Monitoring the game and notifying supervisors of any disputes, problems, or concerns with patrons or the game's progress.
  • Promoting positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility.
  • Conducting oneself in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the operation and conduct of the assigned game in accordance with Gaming Procedure, internal controls, and the rules and procedures of poker.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
  • Demonstrating actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
  • Ensuring prompt and discreet notification to managers and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
