About The Position

As a Poker Dealer at Playground, you'll have the unique opportunity to learn and apply your poker dealing skills through our dedicated dealer school. Upon successful completion, you'll join our esteemed team of skilled professionals who provide an exceptional poker experience to our guests, ensuring smooth and enjoyable gameplay.

Requirements

Must have a foundational understanding of the game of poker
Must be bilingual (English and French) and 18 years or older.
Must be able to work seated for long periods of time and do repetitive upper body movement.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays essential.
Previous experience in a similar environment is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

Shuffle and deal cards according to established rules and procedures.
Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while interacting with players.
Collect and distribute chips and bets accurately.
Enforce game rules and maintain the integrity of the poker game.
Monitor and control the pace of play to ensure an enjoyable experience for all participants.
Assist with resolving disputes or conflicts among players as needed.
Stay updated on poker game variations and house rules.
Handle cash transactions for buy-ins and payouts.
Maintain a clean and organized gaming area.
Report any unusual or suspicious activity to the supervisor.
Provide excellent customer service by answering player questions and offering assistance as required.
Comply with all relevant gaming regulations and internal policies.
