About The Position

Responsible for the accuracy and professional, proficient manner in dealing a specific table game according to Company policies and procedures and in compliance with Gaming regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Proven knowledge and experience on the assigned game required.
  • Basic knowledge of all current house procedures required.
  • Completion of Dealer School provided by Blue Lake Casino & Hotel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Team Members of organization.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the protection and control of Poker games.
  • Conducts the games in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, handling player transactions and notifying Supervisor of any irregularities.
  • Advises Supervisor of any player disputes or arguments that may arise during the game.
  • Informs Supervisor or other games personnel of any important or relevant facts regarding specific players and their action.
  • Maintains a professional, friendly and courteous atmosphere providing the guest with a delightful gaming experience, and notifying Supervisor of any guest needs i.e., cocktails, Host Service, etc.
  • Promotes departmental and property-wide promotions.
  • Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, tribal, state, compact, etc.) and attendant regulations, as well as Company internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Assists regular main pit operations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management, including any supervisor, manager, or executive.
  • Creates an atmosphere of FUN for all casino guests.
  • Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all Team Members, by setting positive examples at all times.
  • Maintains a professional departmental, company and community reputation.
  • To provide a safe work environment for Team Members, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.
