About The Position

The Poker Cashier is responsible for handling all cash transactions for poker room patrons, maintaining excellent customer service, and adhering to all relevant laws and procedures. This role involves greeting guests, managing waiting lists, distributing chips, and ensuring accurate fund exchanges. The position requires strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced gaming environment.

Requirements

  • One year directly related experience in cashiering
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills dealing with excel spreadsheets.
  • General knowledge of various poker games.
  • Ability to memorize names and recognize regular guests and greet them by name.
  • Communicates verbally with team, departments, guests and management
  • Read, understand and apply regulations and policies
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematics to include, but is not limited to, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to manage multiple cash transactions to established company standards
  • Able to manage high volume cash drawers.
  • Able to perform chips fills to and from the vault.
  • Able to complete banking and promotional paperwork.
  • High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
  • Must obtain CPN Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months prior poker cashiering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Cash in or cash out all poker room patrons while maintaining excellent customer services.
  • Greet and welcome guests at the poker room podium.
  • Performing all cashiering duties of the poker room.
  • Maintain and update waiting lists for all poker games on Poker Atlas.
  • Direct guests to proper games and ensure chips are delivered as needed.
  • Monitors player levels to aid Floors in seating patrons onto games.
  • Maintain proper level of professionalism while on property.
  • Counts and records the exchange of assigned funds at the beginning and throughout the shift with a goal of enforcing accurate exchanges.
  • Ability to balance all funds at the completion of each shift in partnership with another staff member.
  • Any additional duties may be assigned by the Poker Floor Supervisor and or Shift Manager on duty.
