Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and a minimum of 3 years comparable table games management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and comprehend documents, instructions, and correspondence/memos.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or staff, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical and mathematical formulas.
  • Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Must obtain licensing with the West Virginia Lottery and Racing Commissions every year of employment.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Thorough knowledge of all casino games and casino operations.
  • Results oriented, hands-on professional with the ability to interact with the public, staff and colleagues.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must demonstrate leadership and fairness in dealing with customers and team members.
  • Possess the ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in staff.
  • Knowledge of database software.
  • Champion of Red Carpet Customer Service and building positive team spirit.
  • Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, team members and others.
  • Is regularly required to stand; walk and move through all areas of the casino; speak; hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • The team member may occasionally be required to sit.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close and distance vision; color and depth perception; and, peripheral vision.
  • The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
  • Ability to work in a smoking environment and with higher than normal noise levels.

  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekend hours and overtime as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all activities related to the operation and conduct of poker.
  • Open and close games, monitor player ratings, and report win-loss.
  • Provide direct supervision of all games and staff.
  • Enforce game procedures, policies, company and department manuals, state regulations, and Internal Controls.
  • Ensure the integrity of all gaming chips and monies.
  • Maintain game security and protect company assets.
  • Make table fills/credits as needed.
  • Provide superior customer service.
  • Handle customer concerns and requests effectively.
  • Assist in staff selection, training, counseling, recognition, and separation of employment.
  • Complete understanding and adherence to disciplinary policies, including coaching, counseling, and progressive discipline.
  • Address and manage complaints, grievances, or concerns from team members.
  • Ensure staff behavior and appearance comply with established standards.
  • Maintain a professional work environment.
  • Participate in meetings and training.
  • Utilize effective communication tools for consistent, accurate, and timely information sharing.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of all company information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management and perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
