About The Position

As a Poker Shift Manager at MGM National Harbor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Poker Room during your assigned shift. This position involves supervising personnel, resolving guest issues, and creating exceptional experiences for guests. You will also be responsible for managing day-to-day operations efficiently and ensuring compliance with Gaming Control Agency and Title 31 standards. The role includes addressing unusual events, fostering a positive work environment, and handling departmental hiring, training, and succession planning.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 2+ years of prior relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Poker Operations supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations efficiently, overseeing the Poker Room during your assigned shift.
  • Ensure compliance with Gaming Control Agency and Title 31 standards.
  • Address any unusual events, missing items, or alleged theft promptly.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, performance feedback, and mutual respect.
  • Handle hiring, training, and succession planning processes for your department.
  • Set the stage for outstanding guest experiences by providing exceptional service.
  • Investigate and mediate guest issues, ensuring resolution.
