Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as a Point of Care Coordinator in the Alternate Site Testing (Point of Care Testing) department. Here, you will be responsible for coordinating the quality control and quality performance improvement functions of point of care testing done by non-laboratory care givers. This is the Alternate Site Testing department. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area. The Point of Care Coordinator participates in planning, organizing, documenting, and providing technical and quality performance services for aspects of testing performed at point of care sites and in designated non-centralized laboratories. They provide technical consultation and standardizes laboratory policies and procedures for use by clinical staff - this may include oversight of testing personnel performance and adherence to SOPs; development and implementation of new procedures, methods, and instrumentation; maintaining and/or improving the quality of work performed, within the framework of compliance with all applicable regulatory/accreditation requirements including CLIA standards and College of American Pathology (CAP) guidelines.
