This role involves coordinating and overseeing Point of Care Testing across hospital and off-site department locations, potentially spanning multiple hospitals. The coordinator provides technical oversight for all POC testing and instrumentation, assists supervisors with staff development, and acts as a liaison between the Laboratory, Nursing, and other Diagnostic Service areas. A key aspect is maintaining the POC Quality Assurance program for Ancillary departments, including training and competencies. Additionally, the position coordinates and oversees the Laboratory’s Quality program, reviewing and sharing quality data, identifying improvement opportunities, and managing proficiency testing surveys to ensure regulatory compliance and appropriate resolution of identified problems.
