About The Position

Balance Health is seeking a Podiatrist to join their Las Vegas Foot and Ankle brand. The Las Vegas Foot and Ankle Centers have two offices in Henderson, Nevada, and focus on providing exceptional care to patients of all ages. The practice emphasizes personalized care and has a strong track record in treating diabetic foot problems. The Podiatrist, under the direction of the CMO, will provide routine and referral podiatric services, including diagnosing and treating foot and ankle conditions, performing wound care, prescribing treatments, and educating patients on prevention and care techniques. The role also involves maintaining medical records and contributing to health promotion and preventive medicine.

Requirements

  • Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
  • Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population
  • Be proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR database
  • Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of Nevada
  • Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
  • Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
  • Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
  • Perform wound care management
  • Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
  • Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
  • Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
  • Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
  • Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
  • Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients
