About The Position

Bloomberg Media is seeking an experienced and energetic contract producer to help shape The Big Take, its flagship daily podcast. Published six days a week, the show focuses on international business and financial news. The producer will work under the guidance of the Executive Producer and collaborate with a global editorial and production podcast team, as well as reporters and editors across Bloomberg’s international newsroom. The role requires working across time zones and occasionally outside standard working hours to accommodate the international team.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of journalism experience.
• Experience producing and mixing in Adobe Audition.
• Ability to write podcast episodes and identify strong tape and episode arcs.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with others and as part of a team.
• Exceptional news judgment and a sharp editorial ear.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior audio experience in a newsroom or similar environment.
• Willingness to work across time zones and occasionally outside standard working hours to accommodate an international team.

Nice To Haves

• Financial or business news experience.
• Video production skills.

Responsibilities

• Write and script podcast episodes.
