S&B Podcast/Audio Editor
About The Position
The S&B is Grinnell College’s independent, student-run newspaper, founded in 1894. We are an award-winning publication with a monthly readership of more than 75,000 students, alumni, faculty, staff, citizens of Grinnell and many others. In spring 2026, The S&B won the Iowa College Media Association Best Newspaper of the Year award for its 2025-2026 coverage. The S&B covers everything from breaking news to long-term investigative stories. This role will lead The S&B's return to audio content, creating audio-focused content via YouTube and Spotify. The ideal candidate should be comfortable taking risks and working independently, familiar with The S&B's content, and able to work approximately 6 hours a week.

Responsibilities
- Devises plan and vision for S&B audio content with Editors-in-Chief
- Collaborates with Section Editors, Staff Writers, Social Media Editors, and Video Editor to find stories to pursue in audio format, such as audio clips to accompany stories or an original podcast with regular episodes
- Records, edits, and publishes all audio content in professional and original style
- Coordinates opportunities for audio collaboration with other student-led groups at Grinnell, such as the weekly S&B Radio Hour on KDIC
