About The Position

The PM Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring employee safety, product quality, and optimal asset performance while delivering the production plan for the assigned shift, line, or area. This is achieved by leading and developing a team of up to 30 employees. The position provides leadership across key people processes, including participation in hiring, employee onboarding, performance management, and corrective actions. Success in this role requires a high level of energy, strong follow-through, and proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across the site and within Daily’s. This leader models the Daily’s PACT values, fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture that motivates employees at all levels. The role maintains a strong focus on achieving results, driving performance through key metrics, and continuously improving team and operational outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are consistently followed and enforced.
  • Support the Production Manager in overseeing daily department operations by identifying issues and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Assist in coordinating onboarding activities and training for new employees within the department.
  • Partner with the Training Manager to ensure effective delivery of training programs and new hire integration.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports related to operations, equipment performance, and downtime; prepare reports as directed by the AM Precook Manager.
  • Ensure team members follow established procedures for equipment start-up, operation, and shutdown.
  • Monitor and verify that required checks on operating equipment are completed consistently and accurately.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Support and uphold the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS), HACCP, GMP, safety programs, and operating policies, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), identify root causes of issues, and implement improvement plans.
  • Fulfill supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including training employees, assigning work, and resolving operational issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
