About The Position
Dignity Health Medical Group – Dominican is seeking a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician for a mixed office and hospital-based practice in coastal Santa Cruz. This is a unique opportunity to join the only practice in the area treating General Rehabilitation patients and play a vital role in a patient-centered organization. The role involves managing a 20-bed, CARF-certified Acute Rehabilitation Unit and a bustling consult service, with opportunities for teaching and precepting advanced practice providers and future residents. The position offers a balanced schedule with a 1:5 hospital call rotation and a minimum of one week of inpatient service per month.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in PM&R (ABMS or AOA)
- Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program
- Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
Responsibilities
- Manage a 20-bed, CARF-certified Acute Rehabilitation Unit.
- Provide services for a bustling consult service.
- Precept advanced practice providers and future residents.
- Participate in a 1:5 hospital call rotation.
- Complete a minimum of one week of inpatient service per month.
