About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a full-time PM&R Physician to provide professional medical services to patients of assigned hospital(s). This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, consulting on, and managing patients with physical and/or cognitive impairments and disabilities. The physician will collaborate with facility leadership and staff to develop and implement patient care policies, address clinical concerns, and ensure high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include performing history and physical examinations, pre-admission assessments, and leading interdisciplinary team conferences. The physician will also be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification, Current certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, is preferred.
  • Assist with medical education as requested. This may include curriculum development, supervision and performance evaluations, daily rounds, lectures, demonstrations, informal discussions, and continuing education to attending Medical Staff, the nursing staff, and the therapy staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional medical services on a full-time basis to patients of assigned hospital(s).
  • Collaborate with the Facility’s leadership, staff, and other practitioners and consultants to help develop, implement and evaluate patient care policies and procedures.
  • Help Facility to identify, evaluate and address/resolve medical and clinical concerns and issues that affect patient care, medical care or quality of life.
  • Evaluation, diagnosis, consultation and management of patients with physical and/or cognitive impairment and disability.
  • Assess, stabilize and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with Medical Staff Policy regarding Emergency and Consultative call services.
  • Perform the general history and physical examination.
  • Perform pre-admission assessment.
  • Perform day 4 Plan of Care.
  • Review and approve of pre-admission screening.
  • Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Procedure.
  • Performing prompt, courteous and competent professional services in accordance with generally accepted professional standards.
  • Performance of administrative services may be reasonably required.
  • Responsible for preparation and maintenance of complete and accurate medical and other records in accordance with generally accepted medical practice and in compliance with mandated regulatory, legal and/or accrediting standards.
