About The Position

Precook P&A Crew will work with raw and cooked bacon as general labor in a cold and fast paced environment. Provides day-to-day assistance to Supervisor/Management in meeting production and quality requirements. Understanding proper grading and packaging procedures. Responsible for understanding Daily’s GMP’s and safety policies.

Requirements

Must consistently follow company rules and procedures and ensure consistency with product specifications
Performs a variety of tasks that require manual material handling and the use of hand tools, knives, hooks, machinery, and equipment
Basic math skills including ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Capability of working with and calculating percentages
Able to adhere to specifications
Must be willing and able to handle raw product
Regularly lift and/or move up to 15 lbs and occasionally lift and/or push up to 50 lbs
Standing and walking for up to 10 hours a day on concrete and wet surfaces
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Nice To Haves

Previous food manufacturing experience preferred
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos preferred

Responsibilities

Understand bacon specification requirements to ensure quality
Work at a pace consistent with line speeds
Keep accurate records as needed
Maintain accurate counts
Minimize scrap at all times
Follow procedures outlined by Department Supervisor/Department Lead
Follow Daily’s attendance and punctuality rules
Follow Daily’s Good Manufacturing Processes
Follow Daily’s Safety guidelines as outlined in Safety Handbook
Rotates job stations within Precook Department
May be required to assist in other areas based on business need
Perform other related responsibilities, as needed, to support Daily’s business objectives
