About The Position

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a PM Cook to join their Culinary team at Le Méridien Chicago - Oakbrook Center. This role involves preparing food items according to production requirements and quality standards in a safe and sanitary work environment. The cook will ensure consistent food quality by following recipes, maintaining proper food temperatures, and managing inventory. This position offers a dynamic work environment within a company that values its associates and their contributions.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience as a Line Cook, preferably at a hotel.
  • Food Handler certification.
  • Ability to perform physical work.
  • Pride in providing quality preparation and presentation of food.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of different shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards.
  • Date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards.
  • Ensure all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
  • Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up.
  • Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.
  • Assist in keeping buffet stocked.
