About The Position

Four Seasons Vail is launching a collaboration with Frasca Hospitality Group to create Tavernetta Vail. This position will prepare food items per guest orders with consistent quality, following recipe cards, production, portion, and presentation standards. The role involves completing mis en place and setting up stations for service while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years culinary or related work experience
• Intermediate culinary knowledge
• Cooking school or culinary institute education or equivalent experience
• Proficient knife skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Working knowledge of computers
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for 8 hours
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work autonomously
• Fluency in English
• Current work authorization in the United States

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items to order on the line and starting items made ahead of time, ensuring they are not beyond estimated needs.
• Operate, maintain, and properly clean kitchen equipment, including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill.
• Date all food containers and rotate as per policies, ensuring perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line set up; note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.
• Return all unused food items to designated storage areas, ensuring proper covering and dating of perishables.
• Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems.
• Control food waste, loss, and usage per policies.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
