About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team at Schoolcraft Transportation as a PM Bus Para. This temporary position involves assisting in the transportation of students, ensuring their safety and well-being during transit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a commitment to student support, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• Must pass a background check and meet all licensing requirements for transportation personnel.
• Availability to work from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM on scheduled school days.
• Physical ability to assist students as needed, including lifting and supporting students with mobility challenges.
• Commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all students.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the bus driver in ensuring the safe and orderly transportation of students to and from school.
• Monitor student behavior during transit to promote a positive and respectful atmosphere.
• Provide support to students with special needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding transportation-related matters.
• Help maintain a clean and organized bus environment.
• Report any incidents or issues to the bus driver or school administration promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures as outlined by Schoolcraft Transportation.
• Attend training sessions as required to stay informed about best practices in student transportation.
