About The Position

The Lobby Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all public areas, restrooms, and other back-of-house areas. This role ensures a clean and organized environment according to established procedures and standards.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel is preferred.
Prior housekeeping experience or other relevant environmental services experience is preferred.
Able to communicate via radio and phone as needed.
Ability to read and write basic English.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, and demanding work environment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and guests.
Able to understand and follow all safety-related procedures while performing all tasks.
Ability to work with chemical cleaners and disinfectants.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards is essential.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Able to work varied shifts, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.

Responsibilities

Cleans and services assigned hotel public areas, including employee areas, in a timely and organized manner according to procedures and standards.
Cleans floor surfaces in public or employee spaces using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
Dusts surfaces in assigned areas.
Empties trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into proper containers.
Inspects the condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and reports damages.
Cleans and maintains lights.
Posts caution signs to limit traffic when necessary.
Contacts other departments directly for urgent repairs.
Responds promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
Manages guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and completely, ensuring follow-up to maintain high guest satisfaction.
Identifies and reports preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
Follows proper hotel safety policies and procedures and uses safety equipment as needed.
Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
Ensures work area is clean and clear of standing water, debris, or any objects that can obstruct job duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.
