About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team at Schoolcraft Transportation as a temporary AM Bus Para. This position involves assisting with the safe and efficient transportation of students during morning hours. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to student safety and well-being while providing support to the bus driver and ensuring a positive experience for all passengers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience working with children or in a transportation role is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• Must pass a background check and any required training or certifications.
• Availability to work from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM on scheduled school days.
• Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
• Commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for students.

Responsibilities

• Assist the bus driver in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school.
• Help maintain order and discipline among students during transit, promoting a respectful and safe environment.
• Provide support to students with special needs, including helping them board and disembark the bus safely.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding any concerns or issues that arise during transportation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is clean and in good working condition.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to the bus driver and appropriate school authorities.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of students and their belongings as necessary.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of all passengers.
