About The Position

Pronto – A Tech24 Company is seeking a PM Apprentice Technician to join their team in Tappan, NY. This role involves performing light maintenance on electrical systems, maintaining filtration systems, conducting manual repairs, assisting with system setups and minor repairs, and communicating professionally with customers. The apprentice will also follow compliance standards, maintain tools and job site cleanliness, and participate in ongoing technical training. This position offers the opportunity to assist experienced technicians with emergency service calls.

Requirements

1-2 years of experience in commercial maintenance (trade school or field experience welcomed)
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record required
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or with little supervision
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions
Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters
Own industry standard hand tools
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed

Nice To Haves

Candidates with prior hands-on commercial cooking and refrigeration experience or relevant technical training may be considered at the higher end of the range.

Responsibilities

Perform light maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, replace broken switches etc.)
Maintain filtration systems by replacing filters to ensure functionality
Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix lock, door hinges, replace gaskets etc.)
Assist in the set up of refrigeration and other systems and conduct minor repairs when necessary
Communicate professionally with customers
Follow EPA, safety, and company compliance standards
Maintain tools, truck inventory, and job site cleanliness
Participate in ongoing technical training and development programs
Assist with emergency service calls alongside experienced technicians as needed
