About The Position
The Plumbing Tradesman is responsible for routing various types of pipes and water lines to the sewer systems of new residential and multi-family homes. The ideal candidate will handle tasks such as strapping pipes, nail plating, running condensation lines, gluing pipe, and installing PEX lines.
Requirements
- Own basic plumbing tools and battery-operated tools
- Knowledge of local codes for installation is a plus
- Self-motivated and organized with a positive attitude
- Desire to learn and master plumbing installation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Committed to a positive workplace culture
- Provide excellent customer service and communication
- Willingness to work outdoors and with hands
- Arrive on time and ready to work
- Follow safety procedures diligently

- Graduation from an Apprenticeship Program is required for Journeyman level
- 4-5 years of plumbing production install experience (for promotion)
- Organizational and leadership skills (for promotion)
- Strong communication skills for interaction with superintendents (for promotion)
Nice To Haves
- Prior construction or plumbing experience is a plus
- PEX Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Routing various types of pipes and water lines to the sewer systems of new residential and multi-family homes.
- Strapping pipes
- Nail plating
- Running condensation lines
- Gluing pipe
- Installing PEX lines
- Cast Iron Waste Lines (using bands and snap cutters)
- ABS Drain Lines (using pipe cutters and glue)
- Copper water lines (measure, cut, clean, flux, and solder)
- CPVC water lines (measure, ream, glue)
- Black iron gas lines (layout, measure, install)
- PEX water lines (cut pipe, use fitting expander)
- Transport issued tools, including ladders, from job site to job site
- Operate threading machines, drills, and Sawzalls
- Lift and carry materials over 80 lbs
- Apply Lean Principles including 5S
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and management
- Self-leadership to meet personal and company goals
- Assist and guide team members
- Engage in career development using the Skills Matrix and Dozuki Standard Work App
- Collaborate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and customers
- Complete daily timecards
- Adhere to Lean requirements
