About The Position

The Plumbing Installer is responsible for routing various types of pipes and water lines to the sewer systems of new residential and multi-family homes. The ideal candidate will handle tasks such as strapping pipes, nail plating, running condensation lines, gluing pipe, and installing PEX lines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Own basic plumbing tools and battery-operated tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to work outdoors and with hands.
• Arrive on time and ready to work.
• 4-5 years of plumbing production install experience (for promotion).
• Organizational and leadership skills (for promotion).
• Strong communication skills for interaction with superintendents (for promotion).

Nice To Haves

• Prior construction or plumbing experience.
• PEX Certification.
• Knowledge of local codes for installation.

Responsibilities

• Routing various types of pipes and water lines to the sewer systems of new residential and multi-family homes.
• Strapping pipes.
• Nail plating.
• Running condensation lines.
• Gluing pipe.
• Installing PEX lines.
• Working with Cast Iron Waste Lines (using bands and snap cutters).
• Working with ABS Drain Lines (using pipe cutters and glue).
• Working with Copper water lines (measure, cut, clean, flux, and solder).
• Working with CPVC water lines (measure, ream, glue).
• Working with Black iron gas lines (layout, measure, install).
• Working with PEX water lines (cut pipe, use fitting expander).
• Transporting issued tools, including ladders, from job site to job site.
• Operating threading machines, drills, and Sawzalls.
• Lifting and carrying materials over 80 lbs.
• Applying Lean Principles including 5S.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor and management.
• Providing excellent customer service and communication.
• Following safety procedures diligently.
• Taking appropriate time for rest and meal breaks.
• Limiting personal cell phone use to emergencies or breaks.
• Seeking continuous improvement opportunities.
• Assisting and guiding team members.
• Engaging in career development using the Skills Matrix and Dozuki Standard Work App.
