About The Position

A1 Sewer & Drain, A Groundworks Company, is seeking a Plumbing Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining plumbing and piping systems, identifying repair and replacement needs, and providing excellent customer service. The technician will lead installations, maintenance, and repairs of plumbing systems and fixtures, including toilet, faucet, and water heater replacements, soldering, and common plumbing repairs. Responsibilities also include inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety, functionality, water quality, and code compliance in residential settings. The Plumbing Technician will address customer queries, troubleshoot problems, and prepare cost estimates. Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Residential Plumbing
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s license and insurable driving record required
• Knowledge of basic hand and plumbing tools
• Experience with home and commercial software and technology (example: ServiceTitan)
• Proficient in piping domestic, sewer, gas, and hydronic systems with experience in copper (soldering, pro press, and brazing), PVC, cast iron, gas piping (black iron, Gastite CSST), and PEX
• Experience in boiler, chiller, and water heater replacement
• Knowledge of plumbing code
• Comprehends technical information and blueprints
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be a team player, committed to working in a quality environment.
• Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential and commercial plumbing service calls, including diagnostics, repairs, and installations.
• Evaluate customer plumbing situations, develop multi-option proposals/estimates, and present them to customers.
• Conduct camera inspections and respond to emergency plumbing situations.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing & piping systems and components in residential and commercial buildings.
• Perform projects and service work.
• Maintain tools, supplies, and equipment to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
• Prepare documentation for written support and convey information appropriately.
• Respond to emergency situations to resolve plumbing & piping issues.
• Enforce a safety-focused culture.
