About The Position

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is seeking experienced Residential Service Plumbers who can independently run residential service calls, diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, complete high-quality repairs and replacements, communicate confidently with homeowners, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. This is a customer-facing residential service and sales role where plumbers build trust, educate homeowners, present options, and help customers make informed decisions about their home's plumbing systems. Requirements

2+ years of hands-on residential plumbing service experience
Experience independently running residential plumbing service calls
Strong plumbing diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Experience with residential plumbing repairs, maintenance, replacements, and installations
Knowledge of residential plumbing systems, equipment, and industry best practices
Experience working with water heaters, fixtures, water lines, drains, and other common residential plumbing systems
Ability to identify plumbing concerns and determine appropriate solutions
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build trust with homeowners
Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain plumbing issues, solutions, and recommendations
Comfort with sales, presenting service options, and recommending repairs, replacements, and upgrades based on customer needs
Ability to educate customers and provide options without relying on high-pressure sales tactics
Ability to meet performance goals and KPIs while maintaining a customer-first approach
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Commitment to quality workmanship, professionalism, and integrity
Ability to manage your time and independently run your daily service calls
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
Motivation to continuously learn, improve, and grow within the plumbing trade
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screening

Responsibilities

Independently run residential plumbing service calls from start to finish
Diagnose and troubleshoot residential plumbing issues
Perform plumbing repairs, maintenance, replacements, and installations
Service and repair water heaters, tankless water heaters, faucets, toilets, fixtures, garbage disposals, water lines, drains, sewer lines, and other residential plumbing systems
Identify plumbing concerns and recommend appropriate solutions
Perform thorough evaluations of residential plumbing systems when appropriate
Clearly explain findings and recommendations to homeowners
Present repair, replacement, and upgrade options based on the customer's needs
Educate homeowners so they can make informed decisions about their plumbing systems
Be comfortable with sales and confidently recommend appropriate solutions without relying on high-pressure tactics
Identify opportunities to improve the safety, reliability, efficiency, and performance of a customer's plumbing system
Build trust and long-term relationships with customers
Complete work according to applicable plumbing codes, safety requirements, and company standards
Document calls, findings, recommendations, photos, and completed work accurately in ServiceTitan
Maintain clean, organized tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas
Protect customers' homes and property while performing work
Represent Benjamin Franklin Plumbing with professionalism, honesty, integrity, and pride
