About The Position

SALT Service Co. is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Plumbing Maintenance Technician to perform residential plumbing maintenance calls, troubleshoot plumbing concerns, and identify opportunities for additional plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services. The role focuses on generating qualified leads, recognizing major replacement opportunities, and providing exceptional service to homeowners. The technician should be dependable, professional, proactive, committed to quality workmanship, and able to help homeowners understand their plumbing needs and recommended solutions.

The position is based in Hutto, Texas, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, based on assigned jobs and business needs. Annual pay is $60,000 to $80,000, with additional compensation available for qualifying leads and major replacement projects. Technicians work with management and other departments, and may assist installation teams, work on SALT properties, or participate in community outreach activities. Requirements

• Residential plumbing experience, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• A customer-first attitude and the ability to identify additional service opportunities.
• Dependability, professionalism, and willingness to assist other teams when needed.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with management and other technicians.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and company standards.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

• A Texas plumbing license or applicable plumbing credentials, preferred depending on the scope of assigned work.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential plumbing maintenance calls, troubleshoot plumbing concerns, and identify opportunities for additional services.
• Generate qualified leads for the plumbing, HVAC, and electrical departments.
• Identify opportunities for major plumbing and HVAC replacement projects and other qualifying home service upgrades.
• Listen to homeowners’ concerns, identify their needs, and clearly explain recommended solutions.
• Educate customers about available services and the value of addressing plumbing issues.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including after-hours service fee requirements.
• Maintain a professional appearance, a clean work environment, and quality workmanship.
• Communicate with management when no jobs are assigned during normal working hours.
• Assist with additional duties as needed, including supporting installation teams, working on SALT properties, and participating in community outreach activities.
• Collaborate with management and other departments to support company goals and operational needs.

Benefits

• Annual compensation of $60,000 to $80,000, plus additional compensation for qualifying leads and major replacement projects.
• Electrical and HVAC leads: $100 per qualifying lead.
• Plumbing leads: $25 per qualifying lead.
• Eligible major replacement projects: 2% of qualifying project revenue for projects generated through a lead, including sewer replacements, repipes, and main water service.
