About The Position

Perform Plumber job assignments according to MTech Mechanical safety standards and guidelines, and within budgetary constraints. This position requires a valid Journeyman or Master Plumbing License. The role involves installing sanitary systems, water systems, fuel systems, fixtures, and equipment. It also includes directing field crew members, submitting daily job progress reports, ordering materials, maintaining jobsite organization and housekeeping, and ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of company equipment. The position is responsible for accurate accounting of labor hours, material sheets, and change orders. Additionally, it involves instructing and training apprentices/crew members with an emphasis on safety, obtaining and maintaining necessary licensing/certifications, and staying knowledgeable about local/national codes and industry standards. The role supports total quality efforts, responds to customer needs, and works within the guidelines of safety and employee policies, promoting MTech business values and culture, and proper use of company assets. Regular and predictable attendance is expected.

Requirements

4 year apprenticeship certificate or 4 years of field experience
Journeyman or Master Plumbing License Required
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of plumbing, construction practice and safety procedures
Working knowledge of all relevant national and local codes and company and industry standards.
Must possess and maintain licenses that are required in the jurisdictions that you are working.
Reliable transportation to and from work required

Responsibilities

Meet all requirements of 4 year Apprentice.
Knowledge of all tools, equipment and skills necessary for the complete installation of projects common to the plumbing industry.
Possession of the tools as required by the company.
Direct the activities of field crew member(s) in accordance with job schedules and priorities as coordinated with project manager/customer/general contractor and field foreman as applicable.
Submit daily job progress reports to supervisors as required.
Responsible for ordering stock or fabricated materials as far in advance as possible either personally or through site foreman to ensure completion of assigned tasks.
Responsible for physical jobsite organization and housekeeping to ensure a safe professional work area.
Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of company equipment as well as monitoring the use and timely return of rented equipment.
Install sanitary systems, water systems, fuel systems, fixtures and equipment.
Responsible for the accurate accounting of labor hours to the accounting department, material sheets and change orders, etc.
Responsible for instruction and on the job training of apprentices/crew members which includes emphasis on safety.
Responsible for obtaining and maintaining necessary licensing/certification for performing work in areas where such is required.
Responsible for maintaining knowledge of local/national codes and industry standards. Ensure that all necessary inspections are made through all phases of work.
Support the total quality effort. Identify and respond to the needs of internal and external customers 100% of the time.
Work within the guidelines of the safety and employee policy.
