About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Residential Plumbing Installation Manager to lead our plumbing installation team and oversee daily residential projects. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for team performance, job quality, field support, training, scheduling, and operational results. The ideal candidate has strong residential plumbing experience, knowledge of plumbing codes and installation standards, and the ability to coach, develop, and hold technicians accountable.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of plumbing industry experience, including significant residential installation experience.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience leading plumbing installation teams is required.
  • Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, installation methods, plumbing codes, and permitting.
  • Experience with field support, troubleshooting, training, and performance management.
  • Experience with time sheets, scheduling, productivity, and employee performance.
  • Strong understanding of job costing and departmental profitability; P&L experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and maintain accountability.
  • Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Contractor's Plumbing License preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the residential plumbing installation team.
  • Train team members on installation techniques, code compliance, safety, and company procedures.
  • Manage employee performance, including coaching, documentation, and disciplinary action.
  • Review and approve time sheets, schedules, and attendance.
  • Provide field support and technical guidance to installers.
  • Troubleshoot job-site challenges and conduct quality inspections.
  • Ensure work meets company standards, customer expectations, and applicable plumbing codes.
  • Monitor productivity, material usage, callbacks, and job quality.
  • Coordinate scheduling and resources to keep projects on track.
  • Partner with sales, service, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor job costing, labor and material costs, and departmental performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce callbacks and rework.
