About The Position
This role involves assisting with plumbing installations and smaller jobs, requiring a willingness to learn and grow within the trade. The apprentice will work under the guidance of a Plumber, ensuring all tasks are performed in accordance with codes and standards. The position demands physical stamina and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trades.
- Willingness to learn on the job, go through training, and earn certification as a Plumber
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in basic math and conversion of measurements.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least two years related experience required.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Plumber Trainee License
Responsibilities
- Locate and identify leaks
- Repair or replace pipes and parts
- Determine the correct tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete job
- Assist with preparing cost estimates for clients
- Help Plumber to ensure that all work is in accordance with federal, state, and local plumbing codes
- Clean job site after work is completed
- Answer client queries
- Follows Plumber’s instructions
- Regular, prompt, on-site attendance essential for physically installing equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned.
